Bill Cherry - Elvis Show

Bill Cherry has been paying tribute to Elvis since 1989, with a show built around the King’s music, image, singing, acting, and dancing style. His career includes performances with Elvis-connected musicians and multiple tribute artist awards.

Bill Cherry’s Elvis tribute is rooted in a long personal connection to Elvis Presley’s music. Elvis was his first inspiration, and from childhood Bill spent his time watching Elvis films, listening to his records, and developing his own voice by singing along at home with his father.

He has been paying tribute to Elvis since 1989. Beyond the vocals, Bill’s approach draws on the full Elvis image, including singing, acting, and dancing in the style of the King. He also drives a Stutz Blackhawk, the same car Elvis drove, with one on display at Graceland.

Over the course of his career, Bill has performed with several of the same musicians and groups connected to Elvis, including the Jordanaires, the Sweet Inspirations, D.J. Fontana, and members of J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet.

His work as an Elvis tribute artist has brought multiple awards and recognitions. Before winning in Memphis, Bill took first place at the 2009 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Preliminaries in Tupelo, Mississippi. That back-to-back result was historic, marking the first time an Elvis Tribute Artist won the title of Ultimate in both the birthplace and the hometown of Elvis Presley in the same year.

Bill has also been recognized by Time Magazine as one of the top Elvis tribute artists, and he received The Heart of the King award in Las Vegas at the Hilton, where Elvis performed for several years. For buyers looking for a dedicated Elvis tribute with deep ties to the music, image, and legacy, Bill Cherry offers a clearly defined and established show.
